0.80 Crashes on swipe-to-next-room

Version 0.80 - I seem to have discovered a bug before you've updated the support site >:(

Starts ok and connects but the moment I try and swipe the screen to get to the next room it crashes back to the desktop.

Rebooting the iphone (3G, 2.2) makes no difference.

hum... actually I have no idea what may have changed to result in this behaviour :-(

Do you have some more information?
Does the next channel belong to the same connection or to some different?
Also you can try to delete the channels from the connections default channels (connection settings) and join them manually (does the swipe work then)

Would be nice if you play around a bit with that.
(finally removing the app from the device and reinstalling should reset the config and remove this error, but would be nice to find out whats the bug)

OK. I've removed the app then reinstalled it.

From Room Browser:

Connection to #USA on Overnet

Room loads

Right-click on the users icon and pick any username at random, then go to 'user info'. Works ok

Swipe (with no other room open)
Crashes back to desktop

It's not just Overnet. I've tried a few servers and the same thing occurs. Sometimes it crashes going to 'user info', others it crashes when I log out of rooms, but always when I swipe to another room it will fail.

Manually using the menu to change rooms causes it to crash every now and then.

Clicking on a name in a room to bring up the info menu occasionally causes a crash.

It makes no difference if I use the app after the iPhone has been on for a while or if I do a cold boot.

Nothing's changed on the iPhone with regards the subsystem. It's just that version 0.70 was fairly stable and 0.80 is very unstable.

I'm afraid I can't supply you with any technical info.

Just a quick question while trying some ways to reproduce that:

Is your iPhone/Touch jailbroken and if yes: do you have some tool installed which may consume some more memory? AppStore? has some Tools which can check current free memory. Maybe you should then try these out to see how much memory is free.

It is jailbroken (has been since winpwn came out for v 2.2 but all other programs are stable).

Yep, Bug found ;-)

Not in Rooms, but in Clippy *g*
Although clippy is still alpha I think I should notify them.
Its a great tool though, and on my iPhone it works like a charm using the latest update.

Note: I was using clippy 0.91 which worked fine till now. Now trying to update to the current 0.94 thru cydia. Lets see what happens.

btw, v0.94 also works for me, so maybe it should be enough to update clippy instead of removing it. just give it a try...
